At Fowler House, we recognise that movement plays a vital role in children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.
Our Movement Programme has been designed in consultation with a qualified Biokineticist and is continually reviewed and refined to support the developmental needs of our learners at each stage of their growth.
Learners participate in structured physical education sessions three times per week, engaging in a wide variety of activities that develop coordination, balance, strength, flexibility and overall physical literacy. The programme incorporates ball skills, sports skills, hand-eye coordination, creative movement, rhythm, basic gymnastics and age-appropriate fitness activities.
Research consistently highlights the important connection between movement and learning. Through both structured activities and opportunities for free movement, children develop body awareness, confidence, concentration, self-regulation and a deeper understanding of their own capabilities.
Our goal is not simply to teach physical skills, but to nurture a lifelong appreciation for movement, health and wellbeing. We want every child to experience the joy of being active, while discovering the strength, resilience and potential within their unique bodies.
Through movement, children learn to challenge themselves, work collaboratively, build confidence and develop habits that support lifelong physical and emotional wellbeing.
